I'm having the same problem with xombrero showing the URI and Search fields in unreadable color combinations; this also includes text that is being selected (which becomes white on white)
This happened not with a xombrero update, but after updating
libglib2.0-0 (and some other packages, see below) from version
2.40.0-5 to 2.42.0-2.
I don't use a desktop environment (I use fluxbox) and I don't have
Gnome installed, which may be relevant.
