I forgot to make the debhelper bug which implements the new Build-Profiles field in the debian/control binary stanzas a blocker for this bug. The part of the patch which modifies the Build-Profiles field in debian/control can be applied as soon as that debhelper bug is resolved. The Build-Depends part has to wait until Jessie.
