Hi. I think it would be nice if whois would also support querying absolute domains, i.e. those ending with a "." on the right side, as e.g. "example.org" vs. "example.org.". While direct queries of such strings isn't supported by the whois servers of many (most?) TLDs, one could simply implicitly remove the trailing ".". The IANA whois server mentioned in #763833 seems to correctly support both, relative and absolute TLD queries (e.g. both "de" and "de.").
