Actually, it appears I've only had to perform the following to make it work again : # /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/gdk-pixbuf-query-loaders > /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache This very much looks like #640150 and duplicates... But dunno why that happened to have an empty /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache (size 0). Maybe there could be some more explicit message in what breaks in gnucash (or invoked libs) to help the user find directions... Feel free to close.
