As we discussed on IRC, I suspect this is caused by
discover-pkginstall using aptitude instead of apt-get, and aptitude
presenting a prompt that is not shown to the user.  Try replacing
aptitude with apt-get in discover-pkginstall.

I'm pushing a fix as we speak. :)
