There are many applications which use rubygems to verify whether the
required dependencies are installed and unfortunately ruby libraries
provided by ruby-gnome2 are not found because there is no rubygem
integration.

dh_ruby of gem2deb does it automagically but you're not using it in 
debian/rules.

It would be nice if you could fix this.
