Dear Maintainer,

v2.2.1 of gperftools is available upstream at
  https://code.google.com/p/gperftools/

v2.2 in particular fixed a variety of bugs, including memory
corruption bugs and various serious deadlocks that make perftools all
but unusable on some projects.
