Some error which NEdit shows are actually Lesstif errors. Could you
try the NEdit binary from the website to see whether the error is
visisble with it? You find the linux binary here:
http://www.nedit.org/ftp/v5_5/executables/nedit-5.5-Linux-x86.tar.gz
Please unpack it anywhere you like, run it and let us know if the
error is visisble with this version.
