-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA512 Package: perl-doc Version: 5.18.2-4 Severity: normal
When looking at documentation with perldoc, the output is displayed using UTF-8. For example the middle dot "·" is displayed as "·". Likewise other characters that are not ASCII. I, for example have latin1 and do not want to switch to UTF-8 (Not want to discuss about that in this ticket please, this would be OT). If I do "perldoc Dancer::Cookbook" (Just an example) you can see wrong output. If you look at it with "man Dancer::Cookbook", the output is fine. - -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (800, 'unstable'), (110, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13.11 (SMP w/8 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE, LC_CTYPE=de_DE (charmap=ISO-8859-1) (ignored: LC_ALL set to de_DE) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages perl-doc depends on: ii perl 5.18.2-4 perl-doc recommends no packages.
