Package: network-manager-gnome Version: 0.9.4.1-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Hi, This is a new installation of debian wheezy, up to date, default desktop Gnome 3.0 When i tried to connect to my office wireless network that is hidden (WPA security), i just could'nt found any gui option in the network manager applet. Logging out going to gnome classic and using the applet there is a workaround, in gnome classic the option to connect to hidden wireless network appears with no problem. Also the Gui in the gnome desktop doesn't show as many options as the Gui in the classic mode. For a new user this can render the wifi unusable and cause confusion. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.5 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.13-0.bpo.1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=es_MX.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=es_MX.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages network-manager-gnome depends on: ii dbus-x11 1.6.8-1+deb7u1 ii dpkg 1.16.14 ii gconf-service 3.2.5-1+build1 ii gconf2 3.2.5-1+build1 ii gnome-icon-theme 3.4.0-2 ii libatk1.0-0 2.4.0-2 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u1 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.12.2-3 ii libcairo2 1.12.2-3 ii libdbus-1-3 1.6.8-1+deb7u1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.100.2-1 ii libgconf-2-4 3.2.5-1+build1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.26.1-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.33.12+really2.32.4-5 ii libgnome-bluetooth10 3.4.2-1 ii libgnome-keyring0 3.4.1-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.4.2-7 ii libnm-glib-vpn1 0.9.4.0-10 ii libnm-glib4 0.9.4.0-10 ii libnm-gtk0 0.9.4.1-5 ii libnm-util2 0.9.4.0-10 ii libnotify4 0.7.5-1 ii libpango1.0-0 1.30.0-1 ii network-manager 0.9.4.0-10 ii policykit-1-gnome 0.105-2 Versions of packages network-manager-gnome recommends: ii gnome-bluetooth 3.4.2-1 ii gnome-keyring 3.4.1-5 ii iso-codes 3.41-1 ii mobile-broadband-provider-info 20120708-1 ii notification-daemon 0.7.6-1 Versions of packages network-manager-gnome suggests: pn network-manager-openconnect-gnome <none> pn network-manager-openvpn-gnome <none> pn network-manager-pptp-gnome <none> pn network-manager-vpnc-gnome <none> -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
