It can be, but I also run (mostly) testing and my opengl seems to be perfectly ok. What is your GPU? I'm definitely not an expert about X and OpenGL, but I would try to reinstall the Mesa/X/OpenGL packages and make sure that all dependencies are ok. If not, maybe you could try with Debian X Strike Force <debia...@lists.debian.org> ?
