Package: usbmount Version: 0.0.22 Severity: grave File: usbmoun Justification: renders package unusable
Dear Maintainer, I recently moved to Debian after 5 years on Ubuntu, so I'm still new to bug reporting here. On my Dell Lattitute, with both Debian stable and a fresh upgrade of Testing (2014-04-07) I have problems mounting all of my usb devices, including memory stick, kindle, usb hard disc. There's about a 1/3 chance they will get recognized and mounted automatically as read only (and writable as root, I can use sudo to copy to /media/usb0). But the rest of the time, nothing at all. If I unplug and replug a bunch of times, usuuallly around 3-5, I can sometimes get the above to work. On all occasions I can see the device in dmesg. Please let me know if you'd like me to do any further tests here. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.13-1-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages usbmount depends on: ii lockfile-progs 0.1.17 ii udev 204-8 ii util-linux 2.20.1-5.6 Versions of packages usbmount recommends: ii pmount 0.9.23-2 usbmount suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
