The "microcode version in sysfs doesn't get updated" bug was fixed on stable kernels 3.12.10 and 3.13.2. It was not fixed on long-term-service kernel 3.10.29 or earlier kernels, however I am not sure the issue can happen before kernel 3.11. It will not be fixed on kernel 3.11, as that one has been EOL'd (end-of-life). For the record, I've confirmed that the other issue (cpus don't log when they have been updated as a side-effect of the update of a different cpu) also happen for some Intel processors, kernel 3.10.29. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
