I've just tried in a sid/experimental chroot environment and the same happened to me: • with libpoppler-glib8/0.18.4-10, I obtain the spurious additional newline • with libpoppler-glib8/0.22.5-3, the copy & paste action seems to work as expected So, it really seems that the issue lies in libpoppler-glib8/0.18.4-10 and is fixed in libpoppler-glib8/0.22.5-3 (currently in experimental).
