Package: dovecot-core Version: 1:2.2.9-1 Severity: normal OK, I think we went through that some time ago when the maintainer scripts were made to break existing configuration files because of some insane change of mind about hwere SSL certificates should be.
As of today, upgrading the dovecot packages annoys me like hell because *all* the packages have their maintainer scripts tell me the certificates should be in /etc/dovecot instead of /etc/ssl. I imagine there was a strong consensus last time that the dovecot package SHOULD care when the default certificate is used, but MUST NOT care when the user chose their own certificate. I *want* the certificate to be in /etc/ssl - will dovecot bug me 6 times every time it is upgraded now? Please, by all means, if I as admin make a decision about where to store my stuff, get out of my way! -- Package-specific info: -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.10-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages dovecot-core depends on: ii adduser 3.113+nmu3 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.52 ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.6-5 ii libc6 2.17-96 ii libpam-runtime 1.1.3-10 ii libpam0g 1.1.3-10 ii libssl1.0.0 1.0.1e-4 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-24 ii openssl 1.0.1e-4 ii ucf 3.0027+nmu1 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-1 dovecot-core recommends no packages.
