I felt that some kind of warning was needed as the original bug report
that led to it suggested security implications for leaving the cert in the
old location. This time I'm offering sysadmins more flexibility because
I'm using debconf to display the note and you can configure its appearance
or non-appearance with dpkg-reconfigure(1). Once you've told debconf not
to display low priority items for dovecot-core, you should never see this
warning again even in future versions of the package.
So I am inclined to close this bug report altogether however I shall keep
it open (though downgraded in severity) until you have tried
dpkg-reconfigure. If that doesn't work for you please let me know because
that means there really is a problem.
