Well, I see that I have been tricked to anwer a five year old topic... Nice way to discourage providing help.
And back to topic, this was probably copying from an NTFS file system to ext3 or whatever, and copying ownership and permissions from a file forced as being owned by root to a user file fails for reasons obvious enough for not being unearthed five years later. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
