You are using a very old Linux kernel, but which ntfs-3g version are you using (type "ntfs-3g -help") ?
Did you get an error when mounting ? the option "gid=fuse" should have been rejected as ntfs-3g requires decimal values for uid and gid. Did you define the user mapping (in .NTFS-3G) ?
