The pristine upstream source for ‘python-coverage’ contains ECMAScript
library files that have been “minimised”:

* coverage/htmlfiles/jquery-1.3.2.min.js
* coverage/htmlfiles/jquery.tablesorter.min.js

Thomas Goirand <z...@debian.org> reports that these files are considered
non-free by the Debian FTP masters.

Can you point me to an explanation from the FTP masters about this, so I
can understand the issue for this and future packages?

I definitely agree that files under non-free terms do not belong in Debian.
