I am running on a CuBox Linux 3.11.0.
The boot device is mmcblk0
/dev/root no longer exists
Hence if a fstab entry to /dev/root exists then the boot stops.
This has nothing to do with DEVTMPFS.
That said, please don't use /dev/root in fstab or anywhere.
It's deprecated and has been removed on purpose.
Thanks for the notice of deprection. May I suggest that in future we
have the
parser of fstab, report deprecated items to a log?
The reason I am using /dev/root is that neither LABEL= or UUID= work in
fstab with the rootfs device. The only things a) that work is nothing in
fstab or b) the device name (e.g. /dev/mmcblk0p2).
