We'll add a hard dependency on a recent enough version of systemd (which is currently in the works) That said we will also make sure that systemd-logind (the component responsible for suspend [1]) will be able to run with a pid 1 != systemd. That doesn't include non-Linux ports though. The overall consensus is, that we either just ignore that issue for our non-Linux ports or make the relevant GNOME components linux-any. Making the backend configurable is not going to happen. Michael -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
