We'll add a hard dependency on a recent enough version of systemd (which
is currently in the works)
That said we will also make sure that systemd-logind (the component
responsible for suspend [1]) will be able to run with a pid 1 !=
systemd. That doesn't include non-Linux ports though.
The overall consensus is, that we either just ignore that issue for our
non-Linux ports or make the relevant GNOME components linux-any.
Making the backend configurable is not going to happen.
