This daemon was deliberated packaged to skip explicit stopping when unneeded in order to speedup shutdown process. I believe the warning to be wrong (but am unaware of any mechanism to silence it other than giving up on that speed boost). > Looking at the LSB header, I see that it is actually wrong.
