Package: apcupsd Version: 3.14.8-2 Severity: minor Hi,
during system shutdown, ups-monitor gets calles from /etc/init.de/halt, and calls apccontrol killpower. In apccontrol, most stuff gets piped to /usr/bin/wall, but at the time it is called, /usr might already have been unmounted, which yields an error message prior to power off (it's only the error msg, the apccontrol call is executed anyway.). The fix is quite simple, remove the |$(WALL) from the killpower call in apccontrol. regards, Dietz -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.7 APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.39.4 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages apcupsd depends on: ii libc6 2.11.3-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libgcc1 1:4.4.5-8 GCC support library ii libwrap0 7.6.q-19 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra Versions of packages apcupsd recommends: ii apcupsd-doc 3.14.8-2 APC UPS Power Management (document Versions of packages apcupsd suggests: ii apcupsd-cgi 3.14.8-2 APC UPS Power Management (web inte pn hal <none> (no description available) ii udev 164-3 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo -- Configuration Files: /etc/apcupsd/apcupsd.conf changed [not included] -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
