debootstrap doesn't provide a bootable system per se -- there's no
kernel or boot loader installed, for example. So you'll need to provide
more information than the above -- I'd suggest building a system with
both stable's and unstable's debootstrap, logging any differences in the
resulting system, setting them up to boot in the same way, and double
checking if there are still any differences.

Note that without more information, I'll have to close this report.
