I admit your patch seems really good to me but I have to prior test it, I'll give a try in the next few hours and commit in debian master if everything goes well.
Thanks for pointing this out to us, unfortunately upstream seems to don't care so much about this kind of bugs even if they can be considered showstopper. ATM they are porting to wx 3.0 so this bug should be fixed automatically after the port is completed. Anyway your patch will (hopefully) allow us to push in the near future a new version in unstable. I will directly ping upstream if the patch is good to speed up the release process. Many thanks for your help. Gianfranco
