Package: gscan2pdf
Version: 1.0.4-5
Severity: important

gscan2pdf tries to detect whether thunderbird is the default mail program, and
if yes,
it diretly invokes it instead of `xdg-email`. gscan2pdf only checks for
thunderbird for
KDE and GNOME sessions, so users of other Desktops do not get this detection.

On XFCE neither the `GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID`, nor the
`GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID` env
variable are set. Nevertheless, the

gconftool --get /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/mailto/command | cut -d ' ' -f 1

command correctly outputs `thunderbird` if thunderbird is the default
mailprogram.
XFCE sets the following env variable which might be usable for autodetection:

XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP="XFCE"
