Package: gscan2pdf Version: 1.0.4-5 Severity: important gscan2pdf tries to detect whether thunderbird is the default mail program, and if yes, it diretly invokes it instead of `xdg-email`. gscan2pdf only checks for thunderbird for KDE and GNOME sessions, so users of other Desktops do not get this detection.
On XFCE neither the `GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID`, nor the `GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID` env variable are set. Nevertheless, the gconftool --get /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/mailto/command | cut -d ' ' -f 1 command correctly outputs `thunderbird` if thunderbird is the default mailprogram. XFCE sets the following env variable which might be usable for autodetection: XDG_CURRENT_DESKTOP="XFCE" -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers quantal-updates APT policy: (500, 'quantal-updates'), (500, 'quantal-security'), (500, 'quantal') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.5.0-24-generic (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gscan2pdf depends on: ii imagemagick 8:6.7.7.10-2ubuntu4 ii libconfig-general-perl 2.50-1 ii libgoo-canvas-perl 0.06-1build2 ii libgtk2-ex-simple-list-perl 0.50-2 ii libgtk2-imageview-perl 0.05-1build2 ii libhtml-parser-perl 3.69-2 ii liblocale-gettext-perl 1.05-7build2 ii liblog-log4perl-perl 1.29-1ubuntu1 ii libpdf-api2-perl 2.019-1 ii libproc-processtable-perl 0.45-3 ii libreadonly-perl 1.03-4 ii librsvg2-common 2.36.3-0ubuntu1 ii libsane-perl 0.05-2 ii libset-intspan-perl 1.16-1 ii libtiff-tools 4.0.2-1ubuntu2.1 ii perlmagick 8:6.7.7.10-2ubuntu4 ii sane-utils 1.0.23-0ubuntu1 Versions of packages gscan2pdf recommends: ii djvulibre-bin 3.5.25.3-1ubuntu1 ii libgtk2-ex-podviewer-perl 0.18-1 ii sane 1.0.14-9 ii tesseract-ocr 3.02.01-6 ii unpaper 0.4.2-1 ii xdg-utils 1.1.0~rc1-2ubuntu6 gscan2pdf suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
