Thanks for the information. Indeed the problem is somewhat solved
for 64 cores and terminals with at least 24 lines (though one needs
at least 10 more lines for real practical use), just because the
meters are split into 4 columns.

Note that however, this can still be limiting if one wants to run
htop from a smartphone via SSH or perhaps if a machine has even more
cores (I don't have such a machine yet).
