it's a brand new Wheezy installation (I actually tried two brand new 
installations to exclude issues with the Notebook hardware) and 
/etc/network/interfaces is at default, only localhost is there.

What looks a bit strange to me is "GENERAL.STATE: 20 (unavailable)" as this is 
not shown up with working cards.
