Thanks for this explanation. Why not default to "true" instead of "false"? I don't think there should be an option to disable this function, I know no other application that does this. You could use a separate config file (in .config/retext) like "position" for these properties that are not for the user to edit manually. Also, looking at .config directory any other Linux application is using just its name for user preferences (lower case). Why not do the same for retext?
