Package: procmail Version: 3.22-19 Severity: wishlist
MIME has become a fundamental standard for email attachments, yet procmail has no constructs to carry out basic MIME-related processing. At the moment, users hack together third-party tools. Munpack, metamail, and stripMime.pl are not standard in all linux distros (Red Hat in particular). It would be quite useful if procmail had facilities for saving, deleting, and analyzing attachments. -- System Information: Debian Release: 6.0.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages procmail depends on: ii libc6 2.11.3-4 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib Versions of packages procmail recommends: ii fetchmail 6.3.18-2 SSL enabled POP3, APOP, IMAP mail ii postfix [mail-transport 2.7.1-1+squeeze1 High-performance mail transport ag procmail suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
