After further discussion at the Ubuntu bug report, I now suggest a
different approach for dealing with this bug. Instead of simply
replacing Bengali with Bangla, the new patch adds Bangla as an
alternative name through a new common_name field. This way users of the
iso-codes package can grab the name Bangla if they wish, and Bangla will
also be translated.

Thanks, Christian, for the idea.
