maybe I misunderstood the data loss part, but as far as the ram is not
restored after hibernate, it can result in a data loss right ?

cat /proc/fb
0 radeondrmfb

[trying echo "disk" > /sys/power/state under X ...]
it worked.

[trying pm-hibernate...]

ok, I'm just felling stupid right now. both echo "disk" >
/sys/power/state and pm-hibernate are working.

I'm going to reboot, and retry a pm-hibernate.
