Not sure if this can help but in the example -.lua for ts-410p the LCD
a125 is registered as /dev/ttyS0
Can this be useful to detect the LCD?

Other option:

The .lua files for 41x and 419p are the same excepted the part for the LCD.
What if for all 41x the postinst install the .lua with the LCD option?
