Package: lxsession
Version: 0.4.6.1-3
Followup-For: Bug #679539

Mélodie,
> Hi, HAL has been depracated and as such as been unmaintained for several
years now.
Thanks for the info.
I've removed the HAL reference from bug title.
The deprecation notice should be put in bold in the wiki:
http://wiki.debian.org/hal :)

> What does Lxsession use for now ?
It seems to use whatever is installed (upower or hal) and seems to support
upower decently: http://wiki.debian.org/HALRemoval#hal-less_LXDE
But neither upower nor deprecated hal is installed as a dependency of 'task-
lxde-desktop' or whatever, so (out of the box) LXDE users can suspend /
hibernate only from console, 'cause there're no such buttons in lxsession-
logout / lxde-logout.

BTW, 'xfce4-session' package recommends 'upower'.
