Package: cm-super Version: 0.3.3-1 Severity: important
Package cm-super places *.enc file into /usr/share/texmf/fonts/enc/dvips/cm-super directory, while other *.enc files are in /usr/share/texmf/dvips/* directories. For some reason kpathsee library doesn't search for files with this particular extension in the entire texmf tree. So, when I've tried to compile russian-language TeX file using pdflatex (after fixing /etc/texmf/updmap.d/50cm-super.cfg to support t2a encoding) I got error message "cannot read cm-super-t2a.enc file", then bunch of error messages "symbol XX is mapped to .notdef and then every cyrillic letter in the file have disappeared. Testing whith kpsewhich shows that file really is not found by TeX. Problem was fixed by moving directory with enc files into /usr/share/texmf/dvips and running mktexlsr. So I suggest that cm-super package should install encoding files into /usr/share/texmf/dvips/cm-super where they would be findable by TeX -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.4.27-xeon Locale: LANG=ru_RU.KOI8-R, LC_CTYPE=ru_RU.KOI8-R (charmap=KOI8-R) Versions of packages cm-super depends on: ii tetex-bin 2.0.2-30 The teTeX binary files ii tetex-extra 2.0.2c-8 Additional library files of teTeX -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
