Looks like just a problem with dependencies between tex-common and
scalable-cyrfonts-tex.

I tried to apt-get remove tex-common, rm -rf /var/lib/texmf, and rm
-rf /etc/texmf (update log said "Warning: Old configuration style
found in /etc/texmf/updmap.d. For now these files have been included,
but expect inconsistencies. These packages should be rebuild with
tex-common.")

Now apt-get install shows:

# apt-get install tex-common scalable-cyrfonts-tex

Less or equal. But.

By the way, is this package unmaintainable? Or nobody uses LaTeX with
cyrillic symbols maybe?
