Package: icinga-idoutils Version: 1.7.0-1 Severity: wishlist
Hi. I recently filed a ticket, where I suggested to remove: /etc/icinga/modules/idoutils.cfg-sample and put it somewhere in /u/s/d/icinga-idoutils/examples/ instead, which you agreed on. Now unfortunately I thought that loading it via icinga.cfg is "THE" intended way but since 1.7 it's made clear in that file, that one should instead load it via a module definition. Given that, may I suggest to move the example file to: /etc/icinga/modules/idoutils.cfg Notice that there is no trailing "-sample", meaning that it will get enabled. Personally I'm usually against enabling/starting stuff, just because a package was installed,... but OTOH that is quite common practise in Debian by arguing "if someone installs icinga-idoutils he probably wants to use it". The nicest solution was probably to add a short debconf question on whether it should be enabled, that perhaps defaults to "no". Apparently this is just a "cosmetic" improvement. What's your opinion?
