I don't have a patch for this offhand, sorry.  I haven't actually looked at
the mangler code myself.  But I did indeed speak to haxar about this in #xiph
(just a little before I sent the heads-up to the Debian maintainers :) and
he seemed to think this would be do-able fairly quickly.

If there are any queries about actually doing that, we'll be happy to answer
those in #xiph as they come up.
