Package: dpkg Version: 1.16.1.2 Severity: wishlist Hello,
If a high-level package manager wants to know are the installed version of the package and a version in the repository really the same, it cannot check this fact reliably now, as hash sum fields provided from the repository are not present in the dpkg local database. Please allow to add additional fields for the installation, like dpkg --install package.deb --addfield 'SHA1: bd49e198a2ff0e639ee987dbe241924a8f14f6e7' -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-1-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages dpkg depends on: ii coreutils 8.5-1 ii libbz2-1.0 1.0.5-7 ii libc6 2.13-7 ii libselinux1 2.0.98-1.1 ii xz-utils 5.1.1alpha+20110809-3 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 dpkg recommends no packages.
