Yes, we know, that is on purpose. Upstream has dropped the
texlive-latex3 collection, thus it is also dropped in Debian.

That is a bug of maxima-emacs and needs to be fixed there.

Not that I know.
For the maxima-emacs authors: I don't know *what* you need from
the former telxive-latex3, but here is a short translation, simply
replace texlive-latex3 with texlive-latex-recommended.
