Package: texlive-latex3 Version: 2009-10 Severity: normal
I have maxima-emacs installed (in Sid), which depends on texlive-latex3: $ apt-cache depends maxima-emacs | grep texlive Depends: <texlive-base-bin> texlive-binaries Depends: texlive-latex3 Unfortunately, texlive-latex3 is no longer available via APT: $ apt-cache policy texlive-latex3 texlive-latex3: Installed: 2009-10 Candidate: 2009-10 Version table: *** 2009-10 0 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status As you see, only my currently-installed package shows up, but nothing is available in the repos; anyone trying to install maxima-emacs will be out of luck! As a sanity check, this is what similar output looks like for other packages: $ apt-cache policy tex-common tex-common: Installed: 3.6 Candidate: 3.6 Version table: *** 3.6 0 990 http://debian.osuosl.org/debian/ unstable/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status Has texlive-latex3 been dropped? Is this an error on the Debian servers? I am experiencing no other problems similar to this with any other packages, so I thought I should bring it to your attention.
