Package: nut
Version: 2.4.3-1.1squeeze1
Severity: normal

Hi,

Readme.Debian.gz says:

" b) Another solution, for system supporting udev, is to create a file
       (for example /etc/udev/rules.d/52_nut-serialups.rules), placed
       after 020_permissions.rules and to add something like:
         KERNEL=="ttyS1", GROUP="nut"

       where 'ttyS1' has to be replaced by the exact name of your serial port.
"

This misses the fact that the permissions of /dev/tty* are set in
/lib/udev/rules.d/91-permissions.rules

So if you do as suggested, that file will change the permission of your
UPS device back to root:dialout. You need to make it at least
/etc/udev/rules.d/92_nut-serialups.rules

(i.e. a number greater than 91) so that your change gets run last.

Please update the docs :-)

Regards,

Matthew
