Package: libpam-radius-auth Version: 1.3.16-3 Severity: wishlist I just got the idea that libpam-radius could use some debconf questions (taking the least intrusive path) about automatic integration with PAM, for example, you could provide three options: - use RADIUS authentication before local - use RADIUS authentication after local - use only RADIUS authentication (caution! see README) - do not use RADIUS authentication (default)
Using the answer to the package could hookup libpam-radius automatically to PAM. This would also require a simple debconf handling of /etc/pam_radius_auth.conf, to point it to the right server using the right shared secret. This is just my idea of a better integration, if I have some time in the near future I'll put my code where my mouth is and provide some patches. Sorry if submitting this bug without a patch seems rude. Please consider this suggestion anyway.
