Package: Hotplug
Version: 0.0.20040329-16

Kernel: 2.6.8-2-686

Hotplug appears to hang during the boot process. It hangs about 50% of the time. The other times it completes fine and the boot completes.
The boot always hangs at the same point. The last thing written to the screen is 'usb'. When it doesn't hang the next line is 'usbcore already loaded'.

If I issue '/etc/init.d/hotplug stop' and then start it again I see the same behavior. When this happens if I go into another console and do a ps -e I see that usb.rc is listed. Killing that process reports usb.rc terminated on line 74.

I looked to see if usb.rc had a debug option but couldn't see one.

Hotplug on this system is a default installation from the new DI. I haven't made any changes. I noticed that usbcore is listed within '/etc/hotplug/blacklisted' yet when the system doesn't hang I get usbcore already loaded. Should this not read 'Blacklisted'?

Not much info I know, but I can't seem to find anything relevent within any logs.

Kind Regards,

Patrick
