The original posters problem was a keybinding problem. This appears to be a mousewheel problem. > I have enabled desktop wheeling: > > session.screen0.desktopwheeling: true > > When I have 3 desktops wheeling "up" takes me "down" the desktops, > i.e. 3 -> 2 -> 1, when it used to go the other way. Wheeling "down" > now takes me "up" the desktops, i.e. 1 -> 2 -> 3. > > If I have 4 desktops it gets much worse. When I am on desktop 1 or 3 > the mousewheeling just alternates between those no matter which way I > wheel the mouse. The same thing happens when on 2 or 4, it just > alternates between those two desktops. > > I hope this can be fixed soon as it's my driving me crazy ;-) The same, or a very similar problem has been reported to me by Brian Pack (acfpack/verizon.net) - he reports that his problem was caused by having two mouse(s) (mice?) in /etc/X11/XFree86-4. It sounds like each time you try to mouse-wheel, it moves two desktops, instead of one. Give this a try.
