Attached you'll find the translated po file for the german version of the
man page for deb-control.

The following addendum should be inserted (please check if I got the syntax
right, I constructed this by reading the po4a(7) manual and did not try this
out):

While translating, I noticed the following possible improvements for the man
page:

The "Synopsis" line is IMHO meaningless for typical section 5 man pages,
though some use this to indicate which header file to include (see e.g.
passwd(5), shadow(5), fstab(5)). I personally think the line as is is
quite useless; if you want to keep it, maybe as B<debian/control>?

I am in the process of translating the remaining man pages for dpkg as well,
but I cannot give you a time frame. When recognizing identical or very similar
strings in several man pages, I translate them in one batch, hence all man
pages are now partially translated (but mostly short strings or untranslateble
lines).

The current state as I see it is:
dpkg-divert.8 55 Strings, 1 untranslated (1 %)
dpkg-query.1 59 Strings, 41 untranslated (69 %)
install-info.8 70 Strings, 48 untranslated (68 %)
dpkg-deb.1 79 Strings, 59 untranslated (74 %)
dpkg-split.1 82 Strings, 62 untranslated (75 %)
dpkg-architecture.1 117 Strings, 82 untranslated (70 %)
dselect.1 129 Strings, 97 untranslated (75 %)
dpkg-source.1 214 Strings, 162 untranslated (75 %)
dpkg.1 215 Strings, 72 untranslated (33 %)

Also you might want to include the partial files already. In this case,
contact me and I'll provide them to you. In case you change a template during
an upload I will incorporate these changes *if* I am aware of them, i.e. if
there is an easy way for me to know about this change.

Greetings

             Helge

   * Add initial support for the Breaks field, by parsing but rejecting it.
Thanks to Ian Jackson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Closes: #375703
   * Use dpkg-architecture from the source tree to get the target Debian
architecture, instead of duplicating the logic in the m4 files.
   * Remove comment headers in dselect/helpmsgs.{cc,h} about the files being
autogenerated, replace them with a proper license and copyright comment.
     Closes: #382308

autoreconf failure due to the new m4 1.4.7.
