One can see /home, and Filesystems, but no ".." or "/". Finally one figures out one must click Filesystems to finally find /tmp. Anyway, just wanted to note that this chooser system seems very non-Unix like, and not even like Windows. Mainly one cannot see how to go "up" in the file tree. --------------------------------------- Received: (at 326973-done) by bugs.debian.org; 6 Sep 2005 23:21:29 +0000 >From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Tue Sep 06 16:21:29 2005 Return-path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Received: from sojourner.alienhosting.com [216.40.217.206] by spohr.debian.org with esmtp (Exim 3.36 1 (Debian)) id 1ECmkr-0001w6-00; Tue, 06 Sep 2005 16:21:29 -0700 Received: from [0.0.0.0] (utopia.ccs.neu.edu [129.10.116.73]) (authenticated bits=0) by sojourner.alienhosting.com (8.12.11/8.12.11) with ESMTP id j86NLRvj020430 (version=TLSv1/SSLv3 cipher=DHE-RSA-AES256-SHA bits=256 verify=NO) for <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>; Tue, 6 Sep 2005 19:21:28 -0400 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Tue, 06 Sep 2005 19:20:45 -0400 From: Ari Pollak <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> User-Agent: Debian Thunderbird 1.0.6 (X11/20050802) X-Accept-Language: en-us, en MIME-Version: 1.0 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: Bug#326973: gimp: unfamiliar directory chooser interface References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> X-Enigmail-Version: 0.92.0.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 (1.212-2003-09-23-exp) on spohr.debian.org X-Spam-Level: X-Spam-Status: No, hits=-6.0 required=4.0 tests=BAYES_00,HAS_BUG_NUMBER autolearn=no version=2.60-bugs.debian.org_2005_01_02 This is a GTK interface issue, and has been debated many times over the past 2 years.
