As far as I understand it, the thing is that is marked done because if 
you activate the lens correction module and don't touch ANYTHING, when 
you copy the stack then the correct action is performed --- the 
auto-detection of lens, focal length, etc. is adapted to each of the 
image.

But I could not check it because this does not happen for me for any of 
my lenses; I have to choose the lens manually. And this is sufficient to 
change the behavior of the module and then all the info is copied 
literally from the first photo, including focal length.

quite clear in stating that this is not regarded as a bug, but as a 
unimplemented feature (to which I mostly agree, although I am still 
convinced that how it is now the behavior is highly unexpected).

I do not think that the behavior changed in 1.6.
