Well, I don't think so.  If an ICC profile is equivalent to a white
balance (I don't know that, I only assume that), I see no point in
it.  You cannot distinguish between a lens colour cast and a
slightly tinted white balance.

So an ICC profile is only relevant if you *neither* want to
auto-whitebalance nor setting it to a nice-looking value manually.
And even then, you need properly calibrated white balance presets
for your camera.  So I don't see an application in art photography.

A properly colour-calibrated camera is different, though: Once the
white balance is done, the colours *relative* to the white point are
what the human eye would perceive in the original scene.  This is of
some value in my opinion (although by far not as important as a
calibrated monitor).
