Thanks a lot and I will come back to this later. First I have to learn
dt better and be sure how I do black&white scans to get a good source.
But I am pretty sure now I will use png-files in 16bit grey.

I saw some dt-videos at youtube and some options are very impressing.
Till now I am not sure if I understand some terms, like base-curve. In
ASP there is a flat line, from bottom left to top right, which can be
changed to a curve. Similar it is in dt. The result is a lighter or
darker image. Is this meant with base-curve?

Sorry, I have only seen some videos about dt till now and loaded an
image in dt and played a little bit with it.

Is there a tutorial video, which you can recommend for editing? At the
moment I am not interested in other features, like giving stars to an
image.

I mean such things, with which options do you start to edit an image,
what do you check next, aso if the raw-file is bad. I am searching for
basics and find very often sophisticated things.

A few points have been already mentioned here. I think I have to start
using dt with different images and find for solutions then.

Thanks a lot for your help!
